CODE OF CONDUCT: Proper behavior in class is imperative to the learning environment. Students must be respectful of their teacher and their peers so that we may create a nurturing atmosphere. Excessive talking, running, tardiness or inappropriate behavior is considered disruptive and can be cause for suspension or dismissal from the program. One of the greatest benefits of our school is the opportunity for younger kids to bond with our older dancers - especially at showtime. Our older dancers are role-models for our younger dancers. For everyone’s safety and well-being, use of illegal substances of any kind, including but not limited to; vaping paraphernalia, alcohol, and drugs will result in immediate dismissal from Encore without a refund. Our classrooms are phone-free zones. Dancers will have an opportunity to video choreography at the end of class.
PICK-UP & DROP-OFF: Encore and it’s teachers and student instructors are only responsible for your children when the children are physically in the studio. Because our classes run back-to-back, we cannot ensure that every child is picked up. For safety’s sake, please be prompt in picking up your children. We ask that dancers wait inside at pick-up time.

DANCER ONLY ZONE:
For our youngest dancers: Sometimes the first week or two of an activity, especially if it is new, can be daunting and confusing for young children. Our staff is well aware of this and go out of their way to comfort any dancer who needs an extra few minutes to acclimate.
Our studios are “dancer only zones”, in order to create a healthy and trusting bond between dancer and instructor.
If a dancer clearly needs to be soothed by a parent we ask that we do this in the hallway outside of the dance studio. This ensures that the other dancers in the studio can continue to focus on their class as well as the teacher.
If you have any concerns or questions please call the office or speak with an instructor at the end of class.
RECITAL/COSTUME FEE:
Participation in our Holiday Show and annual Spring Revue is not required but is encouraged. With the exception of a costume fee, there are no additional fees for stage rehearsals and participation in performances.
